“Mostly spinning in the fucking wind. It doesn’t help that I can’t hang out here more to keep an eye out for her. But once we get this place wired up, that problem might be solved.”

“I hope you’re right. But you have no leads at all?”

“T-Bone.”

Fletch’s expression got scary when he growled, “What about him?”

“Rumor has it he might be keeping her.”

“Like a fucking hostage?” Wilder asked over her shoulder, keeping her eyes trained on the corridor.

“Don’t know. Maybe more like a pimp. But, truthfully, being addicted to meth is similar to a hostage situation. “

“Damn, that dude’s a fucking dick,” Fletch said. “We met up with him one night for a buy. He’s got an attitude that needs a serious adjustment.”

“Yeah,” Decker agreed, “especially after he got physical with Mel at The Peach Pit.”

Wilder’s tone was sharp when she said, “Sounds like he needs a lesson about not putting his hands on women. Or using desperate women to his advantage.”

“You won’t hear an argument from me about that, but let me find Sadie and make sure she’s safe first.”

“After that we can make plans,” Fletch suggested. “I’m sure Finn will want in on that well-deserved reckoning.”

“Come on, boys,” Wilder whispered. “We’ve been out of pocket for too long. Ghost, we need to go mingle. And, Hatchet, you need to get going with this delivery they want you to do. We get caught talking business, we’re all fucked.”

“My woman’s got a point,” Fletch said with a grin.

When Wilder shook her head and rolled her eyes at being called Fletch’s woman, Decker laughed. “You two probably have a lot of make-up sex, don’t you?”

“You’d have to fight to have make-up sex,” Fletch shared.

“And do you?” Decker asked.

“Fuck, I hear someone coming,” Wilder said under her breath.

All three of them stepped out into the corridor.

“These rooms gonna be fuckin’ awesome,” Fletch said loudly. “Much fuckin’ better than what our prospects get. You gonna claim one?”

Decker quickly got back into character. “Nah. Can’t. Got a kid. But it’s a fuckin’ sweet deal for anyone jumpin’ on it.”

Wilder was leaning into Fletch and his arm was flung around her shoulders with one hand planted solidly on her tit. The three of them stood close enough for Decker to hear her whispered warning of “Wolf.”

It took everything in his power for Decker not to turn around to confirm who it was. Instead he said, “Hey, didn’t I hear you patched over from the Fury up north, recently?”

“Yeah, and that’s why I got no fuckin’ loyalty to the Angels. My stupid ass was thinkin’ they’d be into makin’ some easy scratch. Drugs, guns, women... They don’t wanna do any of that shit. They’re too fuckin’ legit for my blood.”

“Yeah, thought so. Whatcha doin’ here?”

“Checkin’ out my options,” Fletch said quickly, then did a chin lift to the person walking up behind Decker. “Right, Wolf?” His eyes sliced back to Decker. “Wolf’s lettin’ me hang out and kick the tires a bit. Need to make sure wherever I land’s serious about makin’ scratch. And I’m not talkin’ workin’ a fuckin’ nine-to-five like I’m doin’ at that fuckin’ gun shop.”

“Angels’ got a gun shop?”

“Yeah, man, if you need hooked up, come up to Shadow Valley, I’ll make sure you get a decent discount.”

“Damn, gonna do that. Thanks, brother.” Decker clasped hands with Fletch and they bumped shoulders.

“Yo, Hatchet. He ain’t your brother,” Wolf growled as he joined them. His eyes slid over their little group and stuck on Decker. “Got a delivery for you. Shoulda found me right away, not be back here runnin’ your fuckin’ trap.”

“Saw you talkin’ club business. Didn’t want to interrupt. Figured I’d catch up with you once you were done.”

“Well, I’m fuckin’ done. Come with me.” Before moving anywhere, Wolf turned toward Fletch. “You done back here bein’ nosy?”

“Was just checkin’ out the facilities. Pretty fuckin’ impressive. Rooms here are much better than above the Angels’ church.”

Wolf scowled, making him more ugly than he already was. “What the fuck d’you care what those rooms at the DAMC’s church are like? You said you’re livin’ in the place above their pawn shop.”

“We are,” Fletch answered. “Just thinkin’ about the possibilities if we switch loyalties.”

“Any of your officers know you’re here tonight?” Wolf asked him with narrowed eyes.

“Fuck no.”

“Keep it that way. You got me?”

Fletch gave Wolf a nod. “You got it, brother.”

“Now, get the fuck outta here and gonna meet you in the common area when I’m done with this shitbag here.”

“Thought your prospect name was Hatchet?” Fletch asked Decker.

“It is.” He did not miss the look in Fletch’s eyes at Decker being called a shitbag. His fellow Blue Avenger was eating that shit up because, unlike how they could bust each other’s balls, Decker couldn’t say shit to Wolf. He had to stand there, take the abuse and keep his thoughts to himself.
