We say our goodbyes, and soon I’m heading back down to the lobby.

I tighten the scarf around my neck, bracing myself for the outside cold. I fish out my phone, attempting to pull up a train schedule, hoping their still running at this late hour, when I notice I have a missed call from Josh. It’s from hours ago, and I can’t believe I didn’t hear my phone.

I can’t seem to pull up the schedule I need, so I start to call Gracie, but realize it’s a lost cause, since she’s probably still at the after party. My parents wouldn’t be able to find a train schedule if it hit them in the face, and Josh is most likely well into his party now.

By the time I reach 7th avenue, I’m still unable to pull up a timetable. I end up calling Josh. He did call me earlier, so it would be more like I’m merely calling him back. I just don’t want him to think I’m checking up on him. Ugh.

“Hey!” He sounds excited to hear from me. That’s good.

“I’m so sorry to bother you!”

“I was actually just about to call you… again,” he laughs. “I was getting worried. How’s it going?”

There’s noise and music in the background, and his party sounds extremely wild. I try not to let my imagination wander too far.

“Good,” I sigh. “Did you by any chance bring your computer with you, or have one nearby?”

“Oddly,” he laughs. “That’s not the most random thing I’ve been asked today. But no, I didn’t. Why?”

“Crap. I need to find train times.”

“Train times?” His voice grows concerned. “I thought you were sleeping at Ren’s hotel with her tonight?”

“Well, I ended up not, so I’m gonna just go home, but I don’t know if trains are still running. I didn’t realize how late it is when I left.”

“Why don’t you come here?”

“Isn’t it sort of a guys thing?” I hesitate.

“We’re supposed to be having fun, that’s what this weekend is about, and there’s no fun to be had if you’re with me.”

“Well…”

“Come on,” he coaxes.

“Okay,” I agree.

“Well that didn’t take a lot of persuading,” he laughs.

“In case you haven’t noticed,” I smile. “You don’t ever really have to convince me to see you.”

“I have noticed that.”

I laugh as he gives me the name of the hotel, and he stays on the phone with me until I get there, giving me instructions on how to get up to the penthouse.

Chapter 18

-Josh-

The elevator buzzes just above the music, and I make my way towards it, pressing the button to let Luci up. I’m embarrassed by the state my friends are in. Matt’s drunk off his mind playing darts with two friends, another two are playing video games, and two more are in the corner, grinding mercilessly with the strippers.

The elevator doors open, and I take her in my arms as soon as she steps out.

“Hey, this one is really hot,” Kyle walks over from his dart game.

“This one is mine, don’t touch,” I spit.

“Hey Luci!” Matt waves.

“We said no girls unless they’re strippers,” Kyle sloppily stammers. “Unless you’re going to share?”

“Knock it off,” Matt shouts.

“Get the fuck outta here,” I tell him, already moving Luci along, quickly ushering her up the stairs.

“Your friends are-”

“Drunk.” I smile at her attempt to be polite as I lock the door to my suite behind us.

“Were those actual strippers down there?” She asks, dropping her bag on the floor.

“No, they were fake ones,” I tease.

“Ugh, you know what I meant,” she rolls her eyes.

“For the record I didn’t-”

“I believe you,” she interrupts.

“Matt didn’t either,” I add.

“He seems like a good guy,” she nods.

“He is,” I pull her towards me, and in this moment I’m just so glad she’s here that I don’t even mention her parents.

“Did they, like, put on a show?” Curiosity has got the best of her, and it’s completely endearing.

“Uh huh,” I whisper. “And you know what?”

She shakes her head.

“Yours is the only show I want to see.” I step back, and a wonderful idea comes to mind. “So let’s see what you got, Cunningham.”

She giggles, her eyes wild, as she pushes me down onto the nearest chair. “I hear you can’t touch the talent,” she laughs, her words hot on my lips. I lean forward and steal a quick kiss. She laughs again, pulling back, faking anger because I already broke her rule. “But if you’re good,” she gives me a stern look, and I hold my hands up, surrendering. “Then maybe I’ll let you.”

She takes my hands and places them behind my back while grabbing my tie off the dresser.

“Just to be sure,” she smiles.

I watch her intently as she climbs on top of me, her long hair falling in my face as she reaches over and ties a knot. My cock already springing against my slacks.
